Therm-A-Hinge intumescent pads provide simple and concealed protection for fire door hinges - which are one of the most vulnerable components of a fire door assembly because they conduct heat far more readily than timber and are frequently the cause of a door's premature failure under test.

Therm-A-Hinge intumescent pads are 2mm thick. They are pre-cut to the size of the hinge blades and concealed between each hinge blade and the door leaf or frame it is screwed into. Standard sizes are 32 x 100mm, 36 x 100mm & 48 x 100mm. Other sizes for bulk requirements are available to order.

Therm-A-Hinge is suitable for

Any timber fire door rated to 30 or 60 minutes in accordance with BS 476.

Therm-A-Hinge has passed numerous tests carried out in accordance with BS 476 : part 22 : 1987 (details available on request).
